ABOUT ME
MY STORY
Caraline Shaheen knew she wanted to be a writer since before she could read. She would take piles of books off the shelves and make up wild new tales only a toddler could think up.
Caraline is now attending Emerson College to receive a BFA in Creative Writing. She is a permanent writer for Emerson’s largest literary magazine, EM Mag, and after being their writer and social media director, she is now the Campus Correspondent for HerCampus at Emerson, a social media platform dedicated to empowering college women around the globe.
Caraline hopes to finish college as a published author and go on to one day produce a stage adaptation of her works while continuing to direct and perform.
Before college, Caraline attended Columbia’s Precollege Summer Program where she studied the art of playwriting, acting, and directing. In her sophomore year of high school, she built her own class as an extender learning opportunity where she spent half of the year adapting a short story of hers into a staged production.
